since I grew fond of the PSOC5, every project that comes to mind I try to implelment with it. now I have a project which is the DES cryptoalgorithem. it is usually a full software algorithem which consists of large tables such as the ones in the attached picture below.

is there a way to implement these tables in the digital section of the psoc? I could easily implement them in C using a 2 dimensional array but the idea is like Bob once said: "thinking in PSOC" :)

Look online at some HW solutions, like -

I think it is possible to implement this in the UDBs. You need to do some steps in software though: splitting the 64 input bits in two halfes (I think the UDBs can be joined only up to 32 bits), and swapping the two halfes after 16 rounds.

Then the FIFOs in the UDBs must be fed (by DMA preferrably) the parameters for the current round, while the UDBs do their magic. I have not read up the DES implementation fully, but it seems to be logic operations only.

it might be useful to use the FIFO dynamic control feature to switch the FIFO between internal and external access, in case some intermediate storage is needed. (Component author guide, part 11.3.4)
