Running out of UDB blocks in PSOC5

I'm running four quadrature encoders and four PWM generators along with some digital glue logic (not much).

I'm getting an error that I requre 26 UDB blocks and only 24 are available.  Could something that simple deplete every UDB block on the chip?  Could it be something else?

Thanks in advance,

Brian

8 components using UDBs with a width of 24 Bits would consume all availlable UDBs. You should consider to reduce the width to free some of them.

Is your width of all components 24 bits, as I do not see that anywhere in your problem description.

Clearly, as Bob states, UDB consumption is a function of width, amongst other things.

Can you reconfig PWM's as fixed function or cut down the resolution of them ? Quad resolution ?

Regards, Dana.

Probably not quite clear: I just did a calculation example for the 8 usermodules named. I have got no further informations regarding the project.

I switched the PWMs over to fixed function and I believe it freed-up the necessary UDBs.

You guys are great.  I really appreciated the help -- this is a great venue for support!

Thanks again!
