USB interface (CY7C68013A) not waking up correctly after laptop "Sleep"

I'm a little out of my league here being more an end-user in this particular case but I'm wondering if I might get some advice from the experts. I use a product containing a Cypress CY7C68013-128AXC USB controller which gets "lost" if I use the laptop's SLEEP shutdown mode (this requires the USB plug to be removed and reinserted for the device to be found again, a little annoying). The product mfg says they are using the drivers supplied by Cypress and the part supports this shutdown feature but the driver was never fully finished. So, my question is: will this driver be updated at some point to include SLEEP sopport or is there perhaps a workaround already known and available?

Any thoughts appreciated!

What does it take to get a problem like this corrected? Is there really any hope the Cypress-provided driver will be updated someday to fix issues with this part?

It is very frustrating to have a product which malfunctions and the product manufacturer feels there is little they can do until the component manufacturer finds a proper solution. The product manufacturer specified this part on "good faith" that it would function properly and I bought the end-product with the same belief.

Being the end-user in this case I have no idea. I have asked te product manufacturer to chime in with answers and more details as needed. I'm hoping one of their devs will join the conversation shortly.

Can someone reset the "Answer Verified" button? I pressed it out of curiosity to see what information was needed and I see now it's a way to mark an issue "solved". My mistake as no solution seems to exist for tis issue yet.

Thanks!

 Hi,

Could you please try with Cyusb.sys driver available at http://www.cypress.com/?rID=34870?

You can find the differences between these two drivers here http://www.cypress.com/?id=4&rID=32538
