AN2131SC 64 bit driver

Hello,

Using a Windows 7, 32 bit machine, I plug my AN2131SC development board into the USB and the device manager identifies the hardware ID as 'USB\VID_0825&PID_0101&REV_0001', I alter the cyusb.inf file (/wxp/x86) with this information, load the driver, boot the Control Center and all is perfect. The manufacturer, product, and serial number fields are OK.

But, Using a Windows 7, 64 bit machine, I plug my AN2131SC development board into the USB and the device manager identifies the hardware ID as 'USB\VID_0825&PID_0100&REV_000' (different), I alter the cyusb.inf file (/wxp/x64) with this information, load the driver, boot the Control Center and the manufacturer, product, and serial number fields are blank. All attempts to write or read to and from the bulk endpoints result in an error code of 997.

Please advise...

Thanks, Roger

Hi,

You can refer to this link: http://www.cypress.com/?id=4&rID=56113 .
This is tough meant for FX2LP, you can refer to it for AN2131 as well and change the PID_VID as per AN2131.

You can also use the Cyusb3.sys drivers. They are compatible with the older CyAPI.lib and CyUSB.NEt libraries. So your applications will also work fine.

Njoy...

The reason I told about FX3 drivers cyusb3.sys is that thay have an embedded signature and you do not have to do the F8 hassle while booting your system. You will understand this after you see the document at the link I gave you.

See if you are interested in them. I hope i didn't confuse you with the name Cyusb3.sys.
