GPIF II interface in relation to io matrix configuration

Hi,

is it possible to configure GPIF bus width 32 bit in the IOMatrix and then use just 8bit data width in GPIF interface?

Or do I have to reconfigure the IO matrix to 16 bit mode?

thanks,

lumpi

I got it ;-).

That is working fine if GPIF is in 8bit mode and IOMatrix is configured to 32bit mode.

Hi Lumpi,

Yes. It works.

The only difference would be that you will loose SPI interface when you configure the IO matrix to 32-bit instead of 16-bit. It does not make any difference if you are not using SPI in your design.

Thanks,

sai krishna.

Hi sai krishna,

thank you very much for your answer. That is clear to me with the SPI interface, i am actually just trying and playing with the supported examples from cypress in the SDK.

Thanks,

lumpi
