PMODE and RESET PIN

Hello,

We have following hardware configuration:

CVDDQ:  3.3V

VIO1: 1.8V

PMODE: 0F1 (SPI => USB)  powered from 1.8V because its in the VIO1 domain.

We are not sure about how to power the RESET PIN cuircut.

If we power it with 3.3 V (because its in the CVDDQ domain), SPI boot will NOT work.

If we power it with 1.8 V (in fact wrong, because CVDDQ domain is 3.3V), SPI boot will work.

What is the right power configuration ?

Please help.

Best regards

g.

Hi,

I did not understand why SPI boot does not work if you use 3.3V for reset circuitry.

Thanks,

sai krishna.

Hello,

we also do not understand why spi boot does not work with 3.3V for reset circuitry.

But I can provide one additional information:

with 3.3V for reset circuitry :

the FX3 is found in the device manager with

VID: 04B4

PID 00BC

with 1.8V for reset circuitry and an empty spi eeprom:

the FX3 is found in the device manager with

VID: 04B4

PID 00F3

Hopefully this helps debugging this problem.

Best regards,

g.

I would like to check if resistors R246 and R252 are populated on your board.
