Can't download image to FX3's DVK SPI Flash using USB Control Center

 Hi, 

  I am new to FX3 DVK. I am trying to donwload a FW image to FX3 DVK SPI Flash memory using the USB Control Center application. Unfortunatelly all I get is the message "Programming SPI FLASH in Progress..." but it never finishes. Downloading the same .img file to RAM succeeds :( What am I doing wrong ? 

  I have followed the instructions in the manual nad I have installed the CyUSB3.sys driver. 

Please help me.

Can you write some data to SPI flash and check if you are seeing the same data by reading it back.

You can do this from the firmware. This will confirm that hardware is perfect.

 I am using USB Control Center to download images to FX3 - how can I do what you're suggesting using this app ?

What I was suggesting needs to be implemented in the firmware, not from the host application. We have few SPI example projects that comes with the SDK. You can modify them to write and read the flash device that is connected to FX3. For testing, this image file can be downloaded to FX3's RAM.

My FX3 board is brand new, I don't think that there is a problem with the HW. I think I must be doiing something wrong, e.g. the jumpers on the board are wrongly set or somethnig. Is there any detailed description on how to program FX3 DVT's flash memory step-by-step for newbies :) ?
