I2C boot failed, but succeeded by directly downloading .img to RAM

I am using SDK v1.0 for coding/debugging.  This AAA.img was downloaded to I2C chips through ControlCenter. Two Atmel AT24C1024B chips were used to store the image file. This AAA.img failed to bootup through I2C and nothing happened in Device Manager. However, if the AAA.img was downloaded to RAM directly through ControlCenter, it worked well as expected.

The hardware of this PCB is fine because an old BBB.img file generated under SDK beta3.0 was dowloaded to I2C chips, and the I2C bootup was as expected.

Is there anybody met the similar issue here? or anyone can provide inputs to solve it?

Thanks.

David

Hi,

What is the code size in AAA.img and BBB.img. Have you tried analyzing the I2C bus to see if the complete image is being read?

Regards,

Anand

 Hi, Anand,

The BBB.img size is 143kB, and AAA.img is 155kB.

Could you please suggest what tool I should use to check the read status of I2C ROM?

Thanks,

David
