How about having a lucky draw every month, only those post ( may be at least 10 or 20 post) in the forum with the month qualify for the draw?

Are there some details on the shipping and taxes associated with these that I can refer to before redeeming ?

Also,any plans to expand this range? I'd suggest having coupons from popular online stores,like Sparkfun or similar.

How about adding PSoC development kits or PSoC programmer for the reward program? I think a lot of forum visitors would like to have this option.

This progam looks great, good idea!!!

But a mouse, a shirt or an iP-any I can buy everywhere (even here in Germany) but it will turn out to be hard to have a cupon for an American store (and I don't think at the customs yet, they are rather suspicus when something from abroad is for free).

What would I like to have, my whishes (not for x-mas only)? Actual Processor modules, a second kit 001, some samples of specialities from Cypress ...

Where would I get that from? Well, normally I would have bought that from my favorit distributor. It costs me a phone-call or an email, so why not get my Cypress-rewards from my Cypress-distributor, he can make the customs declarations as usual.

And even if that would take some time, it could (as a welcome side-effect) strenghen the binding of Cypress -> Distributor > Me

The last Ipad-winner displayed is from january, but now we are deep in april. Did you forget the tombola or are you out of Ipads? Or did you prefer to keep the winners secretly so that we non-winners do not get jealous? The chances are not too bad :

50,000 Members, 12 months that's a chance of about 1:4000 to win an Ipad during the year! That is fairly much better than the chance of driving to work with a car and getting a dent into the fender. I already have got one (no, not an Ipad, a dent!) Now I hope for the next draw.

I went ahead and tried the redeem thing out,and here are a few points about it:

-The order process was flawless and smooth,with no glitches or confusions.Prompt replies from CY people.

-The price includes taxes and shipping+handling.You are not charged for it.

-And though you have to create an account(which is seperate from your MyCypress account) with Four51 during the ordering,I didnt see a link to login to that account later to track your order.

I dug it out finally,and that link is https://www.four51.com/UI/Customer.aspx .

Though the order info and approval status can be viewed,I still dont see any shipping status or tracking info or code anywhere that I could refer to.

Could be because I placed the order only yesterday.

It was mentioned a while ago that  Cypress would allow purchasing of the miniprogrammer/development kits using the points. Any idea when this could be done?

I'm redeeming 300 points.  It took a second email to get a response.  I placed the order, but have yet to see the stuff.

Just got my dev kit 030 in the mail yesterday! I'm really excited to have one for myself now!

Nice concept....but I never got my stuff...  All emails lately have been ignored.

neither did I.

I sent an email to Amanda and she said she would look into it and mail me back but I didn't hear from her anymore. When I tried to contact her again my message was rejected by the email server. So in the end I couldn't get my top contributor kit.

 this really sounds good. it would be even better with development kits and eval boards also

Please accept my aplogies for the screw up of the link to the rewards program. The link has been fixed.

There are no plans to stop the rewards program! Although it has been taking longer than expected we are still working to get development kits into the rewards options as well.

 Is it possible inlucde options to have reward points to purchase PSOC chips?

Since I received my IMSO scope a week ago, here are my experiences:

• I asked for the reward coupon code on september 19th, and got an answer back in 12 hours or so
• I the placed my order the next day, and it got approved after another 12 hours (damn time zones :)
• unfortunately the responsible person at the handling company seemed to be out of office until october 1st (I got an OOO-reply)
• there was no further communication until october 12th, when I got the Fedex shipping confirmation (together with the tracking number)
• and I received the package the monday after (october 15th)

And even though the Fedex invoice stated the Incoterms as FCA/FOB (meaning that I would need to pay all taxes and fees in Germany) these costs seem to be paid by Cypress (at least I didn't get an invoice until now).

So now I just need to wait until the IMSO logic analyzer gets added to the rewards store :)

@hli tell me one thing IMSO=analog scope+logic analyser?

It might be that they are busy with preparing PSoCWorld. I think that the rewards are handled by the marketing departement.

I didn't pay any taxes or custom fees. But since the shipment terms on the formal invoice stated ' FCA/FOB' (look in Wikipedia for an good explanation), I'm not sure that it will always be the case. Btw. shipping is free.

Since I live in Germany, I don't know anything about shipping to India. I asked Cypress beforehand about such charges, and they state that they just use the Cypress FedEx account, so I suppose you should have the same experience.

Just come back from vaction and noticed that my point were already deducted. Could some one from Cypress check that. As I would like to redeem the points now, but it is gone. Tks

Did you check whether the code still works? If not, just send another mail to rewards@cypress.com, I think they can help you (even though it might take a while).

Apart from that its funny - I redeemed 3000 points last fall, and they never got deducted from my rewards score...

 Just a heads up about the kit exchange program. I will confirm that you still have to pay duties and taxes to get your kit

I recently decided to excange my old -050 kit (the one with ES1) with a new kit. Despite my country not charging taxes for packages whose value is lower than $200, a few days after I received the package I got a nice bill from Fedex asking $55 for their operative charges.

We still have 2 more -050 kits to exchange, I wish cypress didn't remove the ES silicon from creator so we could upgrade to Creator v2.2  and still be able to use our old kit for experimentation.

 Any plans to add a smart phone in the merchendise list?

I think all items in the list make use of a PSoC internally - thats why they are there...

What I would like to see is the Oscium logic analyzer, since there is already all the other gear from Oscium in the list.

I would like to see an IPAD in order to run the Oscium products.

Yeah, an iPad would be cool given all the accessories available as rewards. Fortunately I got one at home :) But I'm afraid they don't use PSoCs in them, so there won't be any...

PSOC has been in apple products in the past, and not abnormal that

public disclosure limited on big design wins. I used to council sales

and inside clerics not to discuss large design wins and purchase

order activity except with immeadiate emploiyees, "need to know"

Capsene controllers were everywhere from laptops to phones. But I have not seen it mentioned in any iPad teardowns.
