New for PSoC Programmer 3.06:

Bridge Control Panel v1.0 (Beta)

The Bridge Control Panel is a long await update to the USB-I2C Bridge Software for use with the CY3240 USB-I2C Bridge Kit. This code migration now takes advantage of the PSoC Programmer hardware layer to interface with the bridge device. This initial code migration focuses on a 1:1 GUI migration with minimal updates and impacts to the user’s experience.

In this release of PSoC Programmer 3.06 the Bridge Control Panel is in Beta status. This allows for a wide review of the tool and for ample feedback and input before the final release. We encourage you to please review the beta release of the Bridge Control Panel. We have created a section on the PSoC Developer’s forum to enter issues and suggestions. Questions and/or comments can be filed under “Cypress Software” and subsection “PSoC Programmer & Misc. Cypress Tools”.

The Bridge Control Panel v1.0 utilizes the PSoC Programmer COM architecture to access Cypress bridge devices. This hardware layer is an improvement over the previous architecture. User’s will see increases in sampling rates of about 80%.

Installation:

PSoC Programmer 3.06 is an update to PSoC Programmer 3.05.0.45.

PSoC Programmer 3.06 will coexist with PSoC Programmer 3.05, 3.00, 2.33 installations.

PSoC Programmer 3.06 is a prerequisite for PSoC Designer SP5 release. Please make sure that you have PSoC Programmer 3.06 installed before installing PSoC Designer SP5.
